STUDIO ETIQUETTE

15-Minute Rule For New Students

New students should plan to arrive to class 15 minutes prior to their first class. This ensures adequate time to get you signed-in, through orientation, and set up on your mat. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate new students who show up less than 15 minutes before their first class.

All Students Should Arrive Early

While it’s mandatory for new students to arrive early, all should practice arriving early to allow ample time to sign in, settle in and align yourself with the energy of the practice. While you’re waiting you can practice a pose, do a few stretches or just sit or lie quietly, breathe and get centered.

Check-In Policy

Please stop by the front desk and check in with the desk worker, even if you have signed-in online. This is important. Not only to ensure each and every person is accounted for (so you are not accidentally charged for a no-show) but also because we are a community and we like getting to know you. :)

Regular Class Registrations

The best way to reserve your spot in any class is to sign up online. You may reserve your spot in a class up to 15 minutes before class starts. We are happy to accommodate walk in clients as long as there is space in the class. The only way to guarantee your spot in class however is to reserve in advance. If you reserve a spot online and do not come to class, you will be charged either a class from your purchased package or $25 if you are a member or do not have classes on your account. Please make sure to check in with the front desk, whether you are an unlimited member, or class pass user.

Final Sale

Please choose wisely; all sales are final. This applies to class passes, workshops, special classes & merchandise. If you sign up for a class, special class, workshop or regular class we allow you to share that pass with someone else.

No Late Arrivals

All classes start on time and our front door is locked at class start time. Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter hot room. If you find yourself running late, please consider taking a later class. This is to prevent disruption to the students who showed up on time and also to ensure the instructors are not late to class dealing with tardy students. We appreciate you respecting our teachers and the community by not coming late to class.

Mat, Towel, and Water Bottle Recommended

Mats are required, towels and water bottles are highly recommended.
We provide mat and yogi toe towel rental.
We also have all of the above for sale.

Classroom Silence

Please observe the sacred silence of the studio before class begins. This quiet stillness is one of the greatest gifts we give each other and ourselves. For some people it is the only moment a peace they experience in their day or week. Once the teacher has dismissed the class, opened the doors and turned up the lights you are welcome to mindfully engage with your community. Remember please to be aware of those around you who have chosen to remain in meditation and perhaps carry your conversation elsewhere. Also, if you are an established member of the community it is encourage to connect with and include those who are newer. Nobody wants to feel like the odd man out.

No Shoes in Studio

Please remember to always remove your shoes and store them in the cubbies or under the bench by the door before entering the studio.

Disable All Electronics

Please turn off cell phones, pagers & anything that makes noise and leave outside of the classroom.

General Yoga Etiquette

  • Be mindful of the space around you. Try to avoid bumping into your neighbor and stepping on other people’s mats.

  • Keep your eyes on your own practice. Every BODY is made different. Wandering eyes can promote comparison and competition.

  • Please wipe up any sweat around your space.

  • Try to stay in the room for the entire class.

  • Meet yourself with grace and curiosity.

Lost & Found

Items left in the studios are donated once a quarter. If you think you may have left something behind, please check the Lost and Found.

Bathrooms

Our bathrooms are outside our space and accessed using a shared hallway. Please be mindful of the other businesses while waiting in line for the bathroom. Please grab a set of keys that you will find hanging to the left of our back door to get in to the restroom or back in to our space should someone lock the door.
